“Kashmir is a political issue and needs to be resolved through tripartite negotiations between India, Pakistan, and the leadership of All Parties Hurriyat Conference. The denial of right of self-determination that was promised to the people of Jammu & Kashmir by the United Nations Security Council can bring both India and Pakistan to the brink of nuclear catastrophe,” Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Safi said at a seminar organized by Istanbul-based NGO, Yeni Dunya Vakfi (The New World Foundation) on the subject of Kashmir. Speakers included: Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference; Mr. Abdul Rashid Turabi, Parliamentarian, Azad Kashmir; Dr. Ghulam N. Mir, President World Kashmir Awareness Forum and Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Chairman, World Forum for Peace & Justice.
“The aim of our organization is to make determinations at an academic and political level regarding current problems in world politics, especially in the Islamic Countries; and to present a solution to these problems so as to create an atmosphere of peace and security in the world,” this was stated by [E] Kd. Alb. Ali Cosar, General Secretary of Istanbul-based ASSAM, (Justice Defenders Strategic Studies Center), during an intensive briefing with Kashmiri delegation. Some board members of ASSAM joined the briefing via zoom. The Kashmiri delegation included: Dr. Ghulam N. Mir, Chairman, ‘Kashmir Diaspora Coalition (KDC) and President, World Kashmir Awareness Forum; Dr. Mubeen Shah, Vice Chairman, KDC and President, Istanbul-based Kashmir House; and Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Chairman, World Forum for Peace & Justice.
On Monday, February 21, 2022, Secretary-General of the World Kashmir Awareness Forum, Chairman of the World Forum for Peace and Justice, Ghulam Nabi Fai and his team came to visit ASSAM. Dr. Mubeen Shah and Chairman of the Legal Forum for Kashmir, Nasır al-Kadiri, also attended the meeting, where ASSAM Vice President Ersan Ergür and ASDER Vice President Faruk Altunbay hosted them.
