The crisis between Russia and Ukraine is getting more intense day by day. ASSAM Strategy and Security Specialist Ali Coşar evaluated Turkey's diplomatic initiatives and the tension in the program called Pazartesi Sohbetleri. Pointing out that Putin made a tour de force by being backed by China, Coşar said that Ukraine, with the exception of one or two countries, is not cared about by the West and NATO.

Later, it launched missiles with a range of 300 kilometers to Xızı and Absheron District of Azerbaijan. In fact, such weapons are prohibited by the Geneva Protocol.

The phrase “national unity and togetherness” has been among the most used expressions until today, especially in the first years of the Republic and after the 1980 Coup.  We pride ourselves on being Turk, we are proud of being a ‘Turkish Soldier’, and we have very good reasons for this, such that we wait to see if the oppressed in any corner of the world “Did the Turks come for help?”; In other words, to be a Turk means to be “conducing towards Allah’s help”. 

Armenia, with the 1992 Khojaly Massacre and subsequent conflicts, with the support of Russian motorized infantry troops, martyred more than 600 Azerbaijani descendants and occupied the Azerbaijani territory of ‘Nagorno-Karabakh'. Since then, Turkey has been experiencing a great economic crisis, since Armenia has closed its borders to all kinds of economic relations and does not have an exit to the sea.

Turkey's strategy in the Eastern Mediterranean is the SURVIVAL policy of the ancient TURKISH state, as well as the current government, which has national and domestic values.  This policy must be maintained without any concessions, even if the government changes. Because this geopolitical problem is the necessity of our state's geopolitical existence in Anatolia.
